Umag has a total of 10 football pitches, of which five are in the town itself, and in terms of their quality the pitches are some of the best in this part of Europe. The Stella Maris football complex is in close vicinity to the residential buildings and has an extremely high quality stadium. It is licensed for matches at all levels, and has two auxiliary grass pitches. There is also a newly built pitch with the latest generation of artificial grass and lighting, which is also licensed for all match levels.
