Umag boasts 10 football fields. Standing out among these is the Katoro Resort sports complex, which has three indoor soccer courts with 5th generation quality artificial grass and a polyurethane turf (tartan, gumiflex). The size of all three football fields is at least half a large football pitch. The stands are covered, and there is a small bar next to the field. All courts are illuminated.
Also located nearby is the Stella Maris football complex, which has a top quality stadium, two auxiliary courts with grass turf, a court with the latest generation artificial grass and lighting, all of which is licensed for all levels of competition.
Other than modern infrastructure, in Umag you will find top hotels catering especially for athletes, which offer a broad range of additional services: massages, access to fitness centres, swimming pools, specially adapted cuisine, use of pastime and development of adapted and individual programmes according to the needs and demands of football clubs and national teams.
Umag provides a trusted base to the Croatian Football Federation, the main national football organization. For years CFF has been organizing camps for football players of all age groups and qualifying matches in categories U15, U16, U17, U19, U21, as well as matches of the women's national football team. Umag is also a regular host to the UEFA trainings for referees and coaches. Also noteworthy are the January exchange student group programs, again in the organization of UEFA and CFF, with participation of most promising youth trainers from all over Europe.
