This year, Umag will once again be an unmissable destination for fans of world-class tennis, exciting exhibitions, unforgettable concerts and brilliant gourmet food. Throughout ten days, from 14 to 23 July, the tournament will host the world’s top tennis players, the biggest acts from the local and regional music scene, and world-famous DJ’s, all complemented with an exceptional gourmet programme.

Monfils and Ćorić are coming back to Umag, Fognini is coming to defend his title

Gael Monfils is the first of three stars of this year’s tournament in Umag. This Frenchman, currently at 16th place on the ATP ranking list, has enjoyed the best season of his career, finishing in seventh place and playing his first ATP Final in London.

Titleholder Fabio Fognini has become a trademark of Umag with his nine consecutive appearances, and considering the unbelievable tennis he has been playing this year, he will surely be aiming for the title once again.

The third pretender to the throne is the ace up Croatia’s sleeve. This year, Borna Ćorić will be especially motivated to repeat his victory in Marrakesh, where he won his first ATP title in May.

In addition to these three stars, many other brilliant players will be there to thrill audiences in Umag.

A rich entertainment programme, exhibition matches, concerts and fun for every taste

In addition to the competitive part of the tournament, the public in Umag will get to enjoy two sensational exhibition matches. On Saturday, visitors will be thrilled to see the biggest stars of the tournament, Gael Monfils, Borna Ćorić and others, assisted by Goran Ivanišević. They will play an entertaining pairs mini-tournament with some of the biggest Croatian sports stars. On Wednesday, Goran will host his two friends and former Wimbledon champions, Dutch Richard Krajicek and Australian Pat Cash. This entertaining exhibition will be spiced up with music from American DJ and producer Redfoo, a huge tennis fan who was once an active player, as well as a few more surprises.

The Party Nights programme will feature some of the biggest local and regional music stars and world-famous DJs.

In addition to concerts, tournament visitors will experience for the first time a new fashion and music concept – Fashion Live. It will be an evening that brings together fashion, theatre, music and dance, and the main roles will be played by Croatian designers Matija Vuica and ELFS. The project’s creator is choreographer and long-time Tina Turner backup dancer Ivona Brnelić.

For eight straight years, the Istria Gourmet Festival has complemented this tennis event with guest appearances from select Istrian restaurants, winemakers and olive oil producers, offering the very best of Istrian gourmet cuisine in one place.
